Info Graphic: Ever Wondered How Many Rapists Go Free and How Many Reports Are False Accusations?

This info graphic, below, is from the Enliven Project, “a campaign to bring sexual violence out of the closet and lift survivors to their full potential.” The graphic is based off sources from the FBI, and reports and statistics compiled by non-profits.

Pretty scary. According to the CDC, 1 in 5 women will be raped in their lifetime and 1 in 71 men. And as the Enliven Project points out, only 2% are false accusations, and very, very few rapists even get reported. In order to combat this horrific issue, we have to understand the scope of the problem.
